Things to do while visiting Atlanta Georgia
70Is Georgia on your mind?.....
While planning your next vacation, do not overlook beautiful Atlanta Georgia, with it's southern charm, and scenic views, it's sure to be a fun vacation spot. This summer my family had a blast in Atlanta, and found that this little city has lots to offer. To begin we visited "The World of Coke". It was very inexpensive, and very family oriented. It consisted of a tour, and chances to view Authentic Coca-Cola memorabilia through the years, including ads of old and new Hollywood, even artwork by Norman Rockwell. During our trip we were able to visit their exhibit for the FIFA World Championships, which was one word "Awesome". A tour allowed us to see how coke is made (minus the secret ingredients) :)! Our favorite part of the evening was the interactive ride with illusions that pop right at the audience, and a chance to taste Coke products from all over the world. Our visit ended with the oppurtunity to purchase souvenirs from a wide range of merchandise from salt & pepper shakers to t-shirts, and a complimentary glass bottle of Coca-Cola.
Right next door....
To the right of the World of Coke is The Georgia Aquarium. It's exhibits are colorful and bright. It is literally like opening a doorway into the ocean. With an extensive variety of aquatic life, it is spell binding. I was amazed to find out that they even offer a swim or dive program, sleep overs, summer camps and workshops. You can even book parties or events with them. When you get hungry just stop on by the Cafe Aquaria, I highly recommend the grilled chicken caesar wrap. To remember your trip buy a unique art work from the Aquarium's gift shop, and if you aren't too scared pay a visit to their Shark exhibit.
Piedmont Park
On our last day, we decided to go for a walk through Piedmont Park. There was no admission fees, and it was gorgeous. We enjoyed manicured lawns, Free live Jazz Music, and blooming flowers all around us. Not to mention winding trails, and huge overhanging trees. The playful splashing of ducks could be heard in the background, and my only wish would have been remembering to bring a good book, and a comfy blanket to relax on.

I want to visit Atlanta this year. We have a family reunion coming up on my husband's side in N. Carolina, so maybe we can spend some time in ATL.
